Sunday Lunches at The Devonshire Fell in the Heart of Yorkshire

One of the finest Sunday lunches to be enjoyed in the Dales, makes a wonderful day out to enjoy with friends, family and loved ones. The Devonshire Fell, with its elevated views over the Dales near the pretty as a picture village of Burnsall, is a popular area for visitors to discover its charming houses, or walk beside the River, crossing the iconic 5 arched stone bridge, which spans across the Wharfe.

The Devonshire Fell is a delightful spot from which to enjoy a traditional Sunday lunch get-together with a welcoming bar area too for pre- or after-lunch drinks. Enjoy far reaching views across those famous Dales, and the wild landscape of Barden Moor, visible from the extensive picture windows in the hotel’s conservatory or its Dalzell restaurant.

Starting at £30 per head, for two-course meal, as you would expect the delicious Sunday Lunch menu has some local roast meats on offer, farmed close by.

Choose from a selection including  Roast Beef, Roast Chicken and Slow Cooked Roast Lamb, or there’s  a tasty nut roast too; served with big fluffy Yorkshire puddings of course, and all the trimmings, including  freshly prepared vegetables and home-made rich gravy. 

There is also a selection of home cooked vegetable dishes as optional extras, including cauliflower cheese and delicious braised red cabbage.

The Devonshire Fell

Starters include a nicely varied selection including beetroot and quince tart, roast tomato and basil soup, crab cakes and a selection of cured meats, pickles and focaccia bring a continental flair to this traditional pocket of Yorkshire.  

The desserts are also very tempting with some winter warming favorites currently include rich chocolate brownies and Yorkshire parkin and toffee sauce, both served with ice cream, or a tasty Tarte Tartin, which is baked for two to share!  A selection of fresh-brewed, speciality coffees and liqueur coffees, along with a fine selection of dessert wines to round off this special lunch rather well.

The Fell Sunday Lunch – Two courses £30 and Three courses £35 per person.

Optional extras include additional vegetable dishes and a wide selection of hot beverages, fine wines and liqueur coffees.

Served from 12.30pm – 4pm each Sunday.
