With exciting new offerings for summer – including free ice cream for kids during the summer holidays* and twice-monthly music nights – and a relaxing terrace for the days when sun favours the UK with its rays, The Michelin-starred Hinds Head in Bray is once again proving why it is one of the UK’s most beloved drinking and dining destinations.
Steeped in 600 years of history and reimagined under the creative vision of Heston Blumenthal OBE, the Hinds Head pub blends heritage charm with culinary innovation.
Awarded ‘Best Pub for Food’ in the latest Great British Pub Awards, the Hinds Head offers an à la carte menu that includes Blumenthal’s famous Triple-Cooked Chips and runny Scotch Egg, alongside superlative reinterpretations of traditional British dishes, and continues to delight regulars and newcomers alike.
As befits one of the best pubs in Britain, The Hinds Head kitchen seeks out and supports the best in British produce, such as Hereford beef, Dorset crab and Kentish strawberries.
Located in the little village of Bray village, which boasts 7 Michelin stars – including the three-Michelin-starred The Fat Duck – the Hinds Head is open seven days a week and is just 25 minutes from London and half an hour from Heathrow.

Heston Blumenthal OBE, owner of The Hinds Head, said: “Yes, it’s got a Michelin star and both Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip have had parties at The Hinds Head, but at its heart it’s still just a lovely old local – the perfect place to have a drink, spend some time, eat some decent, robust, comforting grub. Exactly what you want from a classic pub. So whether you’re a food lover or music lover, a history enthusiast, in search of a hangout for the family during the summer, want to play Scrabble or cribbage or just try one of our guest beers in a wonderful setting, The Hinds Head has to be the place to be.”

ABOUT HESTON BLUMENTHAL
Entirely self-taught, Heston Blumenthal opened his first restaurant, The Fat Duck, in 1995. It soon gained a reputation for the precision and imagination of its cooking, and he is considered to be one of the most influential chefs of his generation, for his original creative approach and popularization of the role of science in cuisine. His contributions to culinary science have led to honorary degrees from Reading and Bristol universities and the University of London, and the award of a Fellowship of the Royal Society, which also included him in its ‘175 Faces of Chemistry’.
As well as The Fat Duck, Heston has established three other restaurants, which capture different aspects of his restless culinary curiosity: Dinner by Heston Blumenthal and Dinner by Heston Blumenthal Dubai which research, revisit and reinvent recipes from British gastronomic history; and the Hinds Head, a 15th-century pub in Bray that serves superlative versions of traditional comfort classics.
In 2006 he was given an OBE for his services to British Gastronomy.
