Underneath the bustling streets of Paddington, through an unsuspecting entrance is a beautiful, aesthetically pleasing oasis. This stunning underground cave like restaurant is home to Meet Bros, the Asian fusion restaurant that aims to please all of the family.
This halal steakhouse jumped on both the trends of serving quality meat and Asian fusion dishes to create a menu of flavourful favourites. The meat is halal and the restaurant operates a no alcohol policy, there is even a prayer room for those that observe. That being said we indulged in some delicious, fruity mocktails to accompany our meal. The Lychee Mojito and Watermelon Cooler were both sweet and fruity and paired nicely with the spicier dishes.

To start we ordered the Steak Sando with Truffle Mayo and Crispy onions. It was light, juicy and unctuous in equal measure and after being dunked in a tangy Korean BBQ sauce we were both claiming it to be the dish of the night! This was closely followed by some gorgeous Pulled Duck served with freshly cooked pancakes and not only the classic hoisin sauce but also my favourite chilli oil for that extra kick.
Of course, we weren’t coming to a halal steakhouse without ordering one of their halal steaks. We opted for the Australian Grain Fed Ribeye which at 280g was a little on the small side for big eaters and doesn’t come with any accompaniments so make sure you look at their sides. The meat was tender and cooked to our liking with a lovely flavour from the house spice rub.

The Lobster Curry Noodles, was a majestic dish. The rich, sweet and spicy sauce was the perfect partner to the plentiful soft lobster meat and there were jumbo prawns in there for good measure. I could not believe the size of this dish or the lobster tails, it was a warm, spicy bowl of joy.

The desserts were great, the Banana Fritters wrapped in kataifi pastry and served with palm sugar and candied nuts is the restaurant’s most popular dish and it is easy to see why. They were so moreish.
This restaurant has private dining for up to 21 guests, a raised area for larger groups, and separate smaller areas which means despite its size it’s cosy and intimate. There were lots of families there with children of all ages until late, so it could be a great option for a family celebration.
