Introducing Pearly Cow Restaurants

Pearly Cow is an independent collection of grill restaurants in York, Margate and Brighton created by three brothers, Tristan, James and Tom Guest. The trio of restaurants serve up the most indulgent cuts of meat and the freshest fish in gorgeous settings, in Britain’s most intriguing cities and towns.

Pearly Cow is devoted to respecting what thrives nearby – the herds, breeds, crops and catches that sum up each area’s flavour. All produce is strictly the best – from Trenchmore Farm beef to Whitstable oysters.

Meats are grilled over flame, resulting in the finest caramelised cuts whilst seafood comes fresh from the nearby coasts.

Always unique and individual, each Pearly Cow menu varies and reflects its location. Peruse the small plates in Pearly Cow York and Brighton or tuck into tacos in Margate.  The hero dish is a 45 day salt-aged Côte de Boeuf served with your choice of sauces and sides.

A highlight at all Pearly Cows is the weekly Steak Night, every Wednesday in Brighton and Thursdays in Margate and York when steak and fries are served for just £22 per person.

In Brighton and York Sundays pave the way for Pearly Cow roasts all day long. Roast beef with horseradish, roast chicken and bread sauce, pork belly and apple and veggie nut roasts are served with Yorkshires and all the trimmings included, whilst in Margate brunch is served from 11am – perfect for gathering the gang.

Kids aged 7-14 are treated to their own ‘Pearly Calves’ menu, with pasta, beef burgers and fish goujons, and ice cream, brownies or fruit plates to finish. Smaller calves (ages 0-6) eat free.

Cocktails are creatively devised by in-house alchemists. Try aptly named signatures such as a Beefy Mary (beef fat washed Black Cow Vodka, Negroamaro, tabasco, Worcestershire sauce, tomato juice, lemon, black pepper) in York or the Boozy Cow in Brighton (Wagyu beef fat washed Makers Mark, house made Amaro and Cointreau).

A list of carefully chosen wines are on offer, reflecting the best of both the New and Old worlds, while Pearly Cow’s house sparkling wine, from Kent producer Chapel Down, is offered in brut and rosé – perfect for adding some sparkle to any occasion.
