East London’s buzzing canal side retail and entertainment space in Hackney Wick, Hackney Bridge, has just opened its brand new lower tier garden. Now open, it’s the ideal spot for relaxing, grabbing a drink with friends and soaking up the vibe.
Sitting on the waterfront of River Lea, the new garden features a huge, covered seating area, great for when the British weather inevitably takes an unwanted turn, making for the perfect place to catch up with friends. Whether bar hopping through Hackney Wick, in Hackney Bridge enjoying an after-work pint or grabbing a bite to eat, it’s the perfect addition to E15’s lively waterfront.
When it comes to the food and drink, there is a lot on offer. With its very own shipping container bar, visitors don’t even have to venture out of the garden to get their hands on a crisp pint. Those heading inside for food can grab beers, wine, spirits or soft drinks from Hackney Bridge’s Hangar Bar, which celebrates the best of local Hackney suppliers.


Food-wise, there’s a whole host of delicious delicacies available from the wide range of food vendors onsite. Those after Japanese food can head to Rainbo for mouth-watering gyoza and bao, whilst vegans are well catered for with Hanoi Chay’s Vietnamese dishes including banh mi, bun cha, pho. Those in need of a pizza fix can head to Made in Puglia for Neapolitan style pizza, plus Indian street food lovers can sample the delights from Tamila which include flavour packed curries and flaky layered roti.
