A vibrant coastal city like none other, Brighton is renowned for its diverse cultural scene, stunning beachfront, and, most notably for the purposes of this article, its exceptional culinary offerings.
A haven for foodies and cocktail enthusiasts alike, Brighton’s joys extend far beyond its iconic pier. Easily accessible by train or car from London, a trip to Brighton is the perfect getaway for those seeking a perfect blend of classic charm and contemporary culture.

Gastronomical Highlights
Brighton’s eclectic dining scene offers everything from decadent Michelin-starred experiences to cosy (and affordable) seaside cafes. Quite a lot in between too! Here are just a few of the city’s most celebrated dineries.
Wild Flor – This award-winning establishment offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, serving modern British cuisine with a focus on seasonal and local ingredients. The carefully curated wine list complements the menu, making it a must-visit for foodies. It’s only been open since 2019 but has made a real name for itself in such a short time.
Cin Cin – A slice of Italy in Brighton on Western Road, Hove, Cin Cin delights with its authentic Italian fare and lively ambience. Known for its handmade pasta and sumptuous small plates (ideal for sharing), it’s ideal for a casual yet chic dining experience and is about as authentic an Italian experience as you’re going to get without actually going to Italy.

Little Fish Market – A hidden gem, this intimate seafood restaurant is known for its innovative dishes that showcase the freshest catch from local waters. Head chef (and owner) Duncan Ray works with local suppliers to source only the freshest seafood and the unpretentious setting and décor made up of local art has made it a firm favourite amongst locals.
Palmito – Specialising in vibrant and flavorful Latin American cuisine, Palmito is a tiny little restaurant with only 20 seats (so booking is highly recommended) that brings a burst of colour to Brighton’s dining scene. If you like your food vibrant and spicy, you’re in the right place!
Mine’s a Martini
When it comes to after-dinner aperitifs, Brighton’s bars range from quirky hipster hideaways to elegant cocktail lounges.

The Plotting Parlour – Tucked away in the heart of Brighton, this quaint little bar is known for its artisanal cocktails and intimate setting, making it ideal for a relaxed evening out.
The Bootlegger – This 1920s Prohibition-era-themed bar transports you back in time with its classic cocktails and vintage style. It’s the perfect spot for a night of sophisticated fun and will make you feel like you’ve stepped into a very specific and glamorous moment in time.
The Rum Kitchen – As the name suggests, this Caribbean-inspired bar offers an extensive selection of rum (what else?) alongside more adventurous tropical cocktails and a vibrant atmosphere that’s loud without being irritating.
The Tempest Inn – A beachfront favourite, The Tempest Inn offers a range of creative cocktails with stunning sea views. Its cave-like interiors add to its unique charm and while it’s not the largest venue, that cosiness only accentuates its subtle charm.
