Domo Announces June Opening Date for Leeds Launch

Award-winning Sardinian restaurant Domo has confirmed it will officially open the doors to its first Leeds venue on Friday June 5, bringing authentic Sardinian soul food, aperitivo culture and all-day dining to the city’s South Bank.

Located at the iconic Tower Works development, Domo Leeds will offer a vibrant new canal-side destination, combining traditional Sardinian hospitality with a relaxed and social dining experience.

Founded in Sheffield in 2019 by husband-and-wife team Sarah Elliott-Busceddu and Raffaele Busceddu, Domo has built a loyal following for its celebration of Sardinian food culture, with dishes deeply rooted in family traditions and recipes passed down through generations.

The Leeds menu will feature a range of authentic Sardinian favourites, all made entirely in-house, including Fregola with seafood, Culurgiones and Seadas, alongside one of the restaurant’s stand out sharing experiences – a traditional Sardinian-style suckling pig feast, prepared in the traditional way.

Alongside the main restaurant menu, there’ll be a dedicated bar food menu designed around relaxed dining and carefully crafted small plates designed to pair with the drinks offering creating a more informal way for guests to experience Sardinian flavours.

The drinks offering has been carefully curated to reflect the heritage of the Domo’s founders, with a strong focus on Sardinian wines sourced from winemakers local to the Busceddu family hometown of Castelsardo, alongside Sardinian beers and signature cocktails with a Sardinian twist.

A striking bar has been designed as the social heart of the venue where guests can sit, drink and enjoy the energy of the restaurant. An open kitchen will also be a key feature adding theatre to the dining experience.

The restaurant’s décor has been designed in collaboration with interior specialists 93ft with authentic Sardinian furniture combined with handcrafted fixtures and furnishings made in the UK by Made By Hands.

Domo co-founder, Sarah Elliott-Busceddu, said: “We’re incredibly excited to finally open the doors and welcome people into Domo Leeds. From day one, our vision has been to create a space where everyone feels welcome and somewhere that brings people together in the true spirit of Sardinian hospitality.

“Whether it’s an evening out with friends, a relaxed catch-up over drinks after work, or a big family celebration, we’ve designed Domo to feel warm, inclusive and full of life. We can’t wait for people in Leeds to experience not just the food and drinks, but the atmosphere and sense of community that sits at the heart of everything we do.”
