A Pizza Party at Rudy’s!

Coxys_Kitchen was recently invited to try out the brand spanking new Rudy’sPizzaLeeds in Chapel Allerton on behalf of H&N Magazine.

I had it on very good authority that Rudy’s pizzas are the bomb – the authorities were right! Having never dined at Rudy’s Pizza before, (not even the one in Leeds centre), I was interested and excited to see what all the fuss was about.

When my dining partner and I arrived, there was a small queue to get in. Whilst no one likes to queue, we took this as a good sign of things to come, considering that the restaurant had only been open for one week. After a short wait, we were met with a friendly greeting and soon shown to our table.

The restaurant itself is modern and minimalistic with natural wood features to make you feel at comfortable and relaxed, but make no mistake, this place is buzzing! It has a great vibe brought by the friendly and attentive servers, happy diners and great tunes.

For us, there was only one way to kick off our meal and that was with a classic Negroni. We sipped on our cocktails whilst carefully perusing the menu, which is made up of plenty of starters and even more pizzas.

To start we shared the Campana platter for two; a delicious selection of Italian antipasti, which includes their house bread, made from the same dough as their pizza bases.

My partner chose the Carni Pizza, which as the name suggests is topped with a variety of different meats – and for me? I like the simplicity of Italian food, so I opted for the Romagnola Pizza which is topped with parmesan, prosciutto, rocket and finished with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. To accompany our pizza, we chose the Garlic Aioli Dip, but you could chose the ‘Nduja Aioli, or even Chilli Honey.

Both pizzas were out of this world and there’s no doubt that it has something to do with the made-on-site, pizza bases. Rudy’s Pizzas are Neapolitan, which means you get a beautiful crispy outer crust with a super thin base. It’s this, that delivers the best texture and taste combo.

We ended the meal by sharing an Affogato, [a dessert comprising of vanilla ice cream, espresso coffee and amaretto], plus a liquid dessert, an orange infused shot of limoncello.

Take it from us, if you want to taste the most amazing pizza’s, coupled with a fun dining experience, Rudy’s Pizza in Chapel Allerton has it going on. We’ll see you very soon!
