THE NORTHERN SUPERCHARGERS LAUNCH YORKSHIRE DAY CRICKET BALL HUNT: 100 PRIZES UP FOR GRABS

To celebrate Yorkshire Day 2021 (Sunday August 1st), the Northern Superchargers are hiding 100 branded cricket balls across Yorkshire for fans to find in return for exciting prizes.

As well as secret city centre locations in Leeds, a number of major attractions across Yorkshire are taking part and sharing clues as to the balls’ whereabouts on their social media channels throughout the day. Anyone that finds a ball can follow the instructions on the box to claim their prizes.

Attractions taking part in the activity include:

●      National Railway Museum, York

●      Jorvik Viking Centre, York

●      North Yorkshire Water Park

●      Leeds Rhinos, Emerald Headingley Leeds

●      Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Wakefield

●      Trinity Walk Shopping Centre, Wakefield

●      Xscape, Castleford

●      Billy Bob’s Ice Cream Parlour, Bolton Abbey

●      Oakwell Hall, Birstall

●      Grasshoppers at Tong Garden Centre, Bradford

●      Whistlestop Valley, Huddersfield

Prizes for those that find a ball include exciting Northern Superchargers merchandise, plus each finder will be placed into a draw to win tickets to the final group game on August 17th.

The Hundred is a brand new sports competition launching this summer. It fuses blockbuster entertainment with world-class cricket, inviting everyone to fall in love with the game.  

Combining a new short, fast format of cricket, with each game lasting less than three hours, and incredible entertainment beyond sport, The Hundred aims to make cricket more accessible to reach a broader audience. It’s simple: 100 balls per team, most runs wins, and every ball counts.  

The Hundred features eight brand new teams from seven cities across England and Wales, with men’s and women’s competitions taking place side by side.

The team based in Leeds, ‘Northern Superchargers’ is full of world class players such as world-cup winners Ben Stokes, Lauren Winfield-Hill and bowler, Adil Rashid.

The hunt for the branded cricket balls starts on Sunday 1st August and will run until Tuesday 3rd of August.
