Spring Has Sprung at Victoria Leeds!

Victoria Leeds has partnered with Opera North to offer a truly unique and enchanting experience with As You Are: Soundwalk 2023.

They have created an eye-catching sustainable window display that perfectly captures the season in Yorkshire. Spring has definitely sprung at Victoria Leeds.

Luxury lifestyle destination Victoria Leeds is stepping into spring in a suitably stylish manner this month. As well as the usual plethora of new season collections from premium fashion brands and cutting edge independents, and the various delicious spring/summer restaurant menus landing an exciting programme of spring activity is on the horizon for visitors.

Bright and colourful

Victoria Leeds

To celebrate spring 2023, Victoria Leeds has created an eye-catching sustainable window display that perfectly captures the season in Yorkshire. Featuring a stunning mix of spring flowers being fed by naturally collected rainwater via tumbling rainbow umbrellas – a nod to the often-rainy Yorkshire weather – the display includes snowdrops, daffodils and pussy willow.

Passers-by can watch the seedlings grow throughout the entire spring/summer season, and all flowers will be replanted across the grounds of Victoria Leeds to ensure the space is kept bright and colourful.

Speaking of the new display, Victoria Leeds senior general Manager, Jo Coburn said:

‘’We take environmental considerations very seriously at Victoria Leeds and we’re proud of the work our teams carry out to not only ensure we are working responsibly, but doing so in a way that engages our visitors. It’s fantastic that people can follow the progress of our display as we move through the seasons, and our grounds are going to look stunning with all the replanted flowers.’’

Enchanting experience

Victoria Leeds is also proud to have partnered with Opera North to offer shoppers a truly unique and enchanting experience between Thursday 30th March and Saturday 29th April.

As You Are, a Soundwalk for Leeds was written for Opera North by South African-born composer and cellist Abel Selaocoe and allows participants to go on an immersive 30-minute audio-visual trip around central Leeds.

Shoppers can collect their headphones from Victoria Leeds, where the immersive experience begins, before embarking on a route around the city where special sensors will trigger sounds and music created to complement key Leeds landmarks.

Ahead of the Soundwalk launch, Jo Coburn said:

‘’Engaging shoppers today must go beyond offering quality products and beautiful window displays, which is why we know our discerning customers are going to fall in love with Soundwalk.’’

‘’Opera North is a brand that resonates with our target audience and so we were thrilled to bring back the ground-breaking vision by Abel Selaocoe to Victoria Leeds. We urge anyone with even a passing interest in opera, the arts or the city of Leeds to try. It’s incredible.’’

Aspirational collections

Victoria Leeds

Design junkies will be pleased to learn that premium outdoor living brand Moda Furnishings has just launched its pop-up showroom in Victoria Quarter, which runs throughout the summer months.

As well as showcasing Moda’s aspirational collections, customers will be able to immerse themselves in the products and access tips and design inspiration on how to decorate their outdoor living space. The Moda Furnishings showroom is located just opposite All Saints and close to The Ivy Brasserie.

Park Like a VIP

Visitors to the centre can now also take advantage of VIP touch-free parking using Victoria Leeds’ award-winning multi-storey car park. Customers can simply sign-up for an account online, upload a payment method and car registration number and drive straight in using ANPR technology.

This allows the barrier to automatically lift, removing the headache of taking a ticket. Visitors can then drive in, park up, then drive straight out and take advantage of easy payment which automatically gets charged upon leaving the car park.
