As the darker nights draw in, the North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR) is preparing for its annual October Light Spectacular Event.
The North Yorkshire Moors Railway Light Spectacular Express will depart from Pickering station every evening during the October Half-Term school holidays. It includes train departures from 22nd October to the 30th October 2022, at both 6pm and then again at 7.45pm.
Whether you’re a train buff or not, this annual spectacular event is one not to be missed. For visitors of all ages, the audio and visual sensory journey is adorned with 17,000 LEDs for all the family to enjoy.
The journey incorporates an hour-long illuminated experience from Pickering train station to Levisham station in North Yorkshire.
NYMR Light Spectacular Event
During the awe-inspiring train ride from Pickering, all passengers will become part of the show. Moreover, there will be plenty of singing and dancing along with an interactive synchronised flashing LED wristband for everyone to wear. All whilst being part of the exciting entertainment with the North Yorkshire Moor Railway’s (NYMR) compere, TV’s ‘Voice Over Man’.
It’s an hour of fun and frivolity that the passengers won’t forget in a hurry. Everything from the moment the guests are onboard is a pure wow factor!
There will be a trolley service of drinks and snacks on the Express for anyone wishing to have refreshments. Alternatively, Pickering Tea Room within the train station will be open for food and drink across each evening. Equally, NYMR has designed a number of Light Spectacular Express hoodies, for both adults and children to buy, priced at £39 and £24 respectively.
