The brand-new venue takes people on a thrilling journey along the 9-hole course with a one-shot roulette style victory hole at the end, and three completely original holes: Wing it, Green, and Bunkers 2.0.
The iconic Birdies bird stands tall towering over Wing It, and the only route is up the ramp but how far and where it ends is really a case of winging it. Watch out for the mushroom obstacles on your return. Green is a fully immersive room of a single, dominant colour… you guessed it, green, the hole is aptly named. Play your way through obstacles and challenges in this world of green illumination. You name it, it’s green. No other colour will do. Bunkers 2.0 is a reinvention of the classic golfing term. Playing from low to high, chipping your way up through the bunkers and palm tree jungle. The Miami-retro inspired take on the typical golfing hazard is sure to raise a few eyebrows amongst the golfing set.
Those familiar with Birdies’ Battersea spot will know that its most popular holes are just that for a reason, which is why the new outpost will also feature revamped versions of the fan favourites Hazard, Kinetic, Steps, Infinity, and Roulette.
Of course, every victory needs a celebratory drink, and every loss – two (or more). Guests can head to the coral pink cocktail bar in the centre of the venue for neon lights, electrifying vibes, and of course tantalising drinks. With cocktails ranging from the deliciously refreshing pink gin and elderflower-infused English Garden Party to the flavoursome blend of tequila and liquor Watermelon Sugar, it’s the much-needed escapism that everyone deserves after a long evening of golfing. The bar also stocks beer, wine and soft drinks, so every putter is catered for.
Once guests have worked up an appetite hitting a hole in one, they can sample delicious burgers and more from the award-winning Cheeky Burger, a staple at street food markets across the country. Those after a good old cheeseburger can opt for the classic Cheeky Cheese, whilst bacon lovers are in for a treat with the Cheeky Bacon. If it’s decadence you’re after, the Elvis should suffice, a patty smothered in peanut butter and caramelised onions. Vegans need not miss out either with the Cheeky Vegan burger, a mouth watering vegan patty with vegan cheese sauce and smoky vegan mayo.
Located around the corner from the Business Design Centre at Angel Central Shopping Centre, Birdies is also the perfect venue for corporate entertaining and team building. What is more, families are welcome to play the course every day up until 4pm with the sole exemption of Saturday.
