Lucy & Yak Celebrates 50,000 Garments Kept in Circulation with a Free Circular Fashion Fair in Sheffield

Yorkshire-born brand launches Repairs for Life for Comfort Club members, alongside three days of PreLoved shopping, live repairs, making workshops and talks at Peddler Warehouse, 23 to 25 October

Lucy & Yak, the colourful, comfy clothing brand that started life in a campervan called Yak, is coming home. From Friday 23 to Sunday 25 October 2026, its first-ever Circular Fashion Fair takes over Sheffield’s Peddler Warehouse in Neepsend: a free weekend about loving the clothes we already have, and the people who make, mend and wear them.

The fair celebrates a milestone. Since launching in 2023, Lucy & Yak’s Re:Yak programme has kept more than 50,000 garments in circulation. That’s 50,000 dungarees, dresses and jumpsuits brought back by the brand’s community and resold, repaired or recycled, rather than thrown away.

It also marks the launch of Repairs for Life, a new programme giving UK Comfort Club members free repairs on eligible Lucy & Yak pieces for the lifetime of the garment, whatever the damage. A working Repairs for Life hub will be the first thing visitors see as they walk in, with Lucy & Yak’s in-house menders, repairing Yaks on site.

Lydia Coley, Managing Director at Lucy & Yak, said:

“Lucy & Yak began in Yorkshire, with Lucy and Chris living in a van called Yak and selling vintage clothes, so bringing the Circular Fashion Fair to Sheffield feels like coming home. Keeping 50,000 garments in circulation is a huge moment for us, and launching Repairs for Life means our Comfort Club members can keep their favourite Yaks going for as long as they love them. We wanted to celebrate with the community that got us here, and show that sustainable fashion doesn’t have to be serious or expensive. It can be joyful, creative and for everybody.”
