Joseph’s career journey began working in Leeds city centre at Toni & Guys, where he learned the basic techniques, achieving NVQ Levels 2 and 3 in hairdressing. From there he moved to a well-known barber in Ilkley and learned the skills of men’s barbering. Growing in confidence, he realised this was where his heart and passion lie and dedicated himself to becoming an expert barber.
After developing his skills and gaining a wealth of experience, Joseph now finds himself at renowned, award winning Yazz Barbers, working alongside established senior barber Paul Deal, and together they make an impressive team. Constantly updating their skills and staying ahead of current trends and styles is key to their success.

We believe education is key – we employ a full-time in-house educator who supports our trainees and keeps our Creative Team up to date with new techniques and cutting styles.
Our salon stylists regularly attend seminars, cutting courses and are frequent visitors to the TIGI Academies in London and Manchester. Here we are encouraged to be bold with our creativity inspiring us to move forward and re-evaluate the things we have previously learnt.
We come back into the salon with renewed enthusiasm and passion, in turn passing this on to our clientèle.
