The Other House South Kensington is a hidden gem that offers a truly unique and luxurious experience.
From the moment we stepped inside, the design of the hotel immediately caught our eye. Every detail is meticulously thought out, with a gorgeous aesthetic that is rich with textures, modern fixtures and some of the coolest artistic elements throughout, it’s clear that The Other House South Kensington is a hotel that has incredibly well thought out design.
One of the standout features of the hotel is its outstanding facilities, particularly the swimming pool, spa, and sauna. The pool itself is a showstopper, with pearlescent tiles that shimmer under the light, I spoke with the hotel’s designer (just by chance), and she shared that she envisioned the pool as a “Dark Unicorn,” a description that perfectly captures its magical quality. It’s unlike any other pool I’ve seen, creating an atmosphere that feels both luxurious and dreamlike.

The orangery overlooks the pool which I thought was such a good detail. The spa and sauna are equally impressive, providing a tranquil escape for guests looking to relax and unwind in style or if you’re anything like us, work out until you deserve a relax in the sauna!

The service at The Other House South Kensington was perfect. The staff are warm, friendly, and always willing to help with a smile. From the moment we checked in, their attention to detail was evident. Whether we needed directions, recommendations for local attractions, or just a chat, they were always there, offering exceptional service that added to the overall experience.
The location of the hotel is another reason it stands out for me. You’ll find it in South Kensington, it’s perfectly situated for exploring some of London’s most iconic cultural landmarks. With the Natural History Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum just a short walk away, there’s plenty to see and do right on your doorstep. The convenience of having a tube station nearby also makes it easy to travel to other parts of London, whether you’re sightseeing or heading out for a night on the town. We took a short walk around some of the stunning houses in that area.

Our stay was made even more special by the mezzanine-level room we stayed in. The space was beautifully designed, offering every modern comfort with thoughtful touches throughout. The room featured a fitted kitchen, allowing us the option to prepare our own meals, but it was the overall feel of the room that really stood out. Every detail, from the luxurious bedding to the sleek finishes, made it such a wonderful stay.
One evening, we visited the Owl & Monkey Bar downstairs, and it did not disappoint. The cocktails were some of the best we’ve ever tasted, crafted with creativity and care from the friendly bar staff. The small plates, which reminded me of tapas, were perfect to go alongside our cocktails and had vibrant flavours that were both innovative and delicious. It was the perfect end to a wonderful day.

Overall, The Other House South Kensington Hotel offers an unforgettable stay. With its beautiful design, excellent facilities, and warm, attentive service, it’s a place you’ll want to return to time and time again.
It’s more than just a hotel—it’s a luxurious escape in the heart of London.
