International Brand Boojum Announces Leeds Agency as GB PR Partner

Big brands, philanthropic projects and local Pride make up PHGL’s roster of new clients, partners, and events so far in 2024.

Three new client sign-ups across a variety of sectors heralded a busy start to the year for the PR team Pink Gorilla & Hairy Lemon. Alongside the recent client wins including Boojum, the innovative brand has undergone a refresh courtesy of the talented team at Shine Creative Design and will now go by the name by PGHL.

International burrito brand Boojum has assigned PGHL as their GB partner for their first store opening in Britain, situated in Leeds, as well as for their ambitious ongoing GB roll-out plans.

Added to this, PGHL will be supporting the launch Carousel Bar & Home Nightclub, £2 million developments on the old Tiger Tiger site, and have proudly become the official PR partner for Leeds Pride, one of the largest free Pride events in the country, and such an important event for the LGBTQIA+ Leeds community.

Boojum: number #6 trending dish internationally on Deliveroo

Award-winning Irish brand Boojum will be bringing their sought-after burritos to the UK in 2024, and have chosen PGHL as their GB partner – both for the Leeds launch and for the further roll-out of GB venues.

Boojum Marketing manager Paul McCullagh said:

“Having recently appointed PGHL as our GB PR partner, we have been impressed by their work and the results we’ve achieved in a short space of time. Jordan and the team are easy to work with, bringing creativity and expert local knowledge to the table in equal measure. We’re looking forward to our continued partnership as the Boojum brand expands across GB.”

Carousel & Home

Leeds’ old Tiger Tiger site in The Light on Albion Street has seen a £2 million redevelopment and will reopen as Carousel Bar and Home Nightclub this year. The venture sees massive investment in festival-quality production and will host the coolest international DJs.

Leeds Pride

PGHL were so happy to be chosen at Leeds Pride’s official partner. This massive event is one of the largest one-day events held across all of Yorkshire. The highlight of the city’s LGBTQIA+ calendar, this event is spectacular, and so much planning and organising goes into making such an exciting and inclusive space for all those celebrating, both from the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies.

Events excellence

The Events side of PGHL has also seen a busy January, with a roster of events on the horizon. With twenty years of experience in hosting amazing events, PGHL brings unrivalled spectacle, whether on an intimate scale or for large corporate gatherings.

They have been onboarded to create events with Moda Living, as well property surveyors Fox Lloyd Jones and will be hosting various private events in Europe this summer.

PGHL events will also be planning the Yorkshire Children of Courage Awards for the second year running, a very special event for recognising and honouring courageous young people from across the region.

Jordan Odu, PR director said:

“We are so happy that all our hard work has resulted in some major client wins this Spring.

Being the GB partner for Boojum has been a major coup, and we are so excited to contribute to the amazing philanthropic events happening in the city, such as the Yorkshire Children of Courage Awards.

Nearly a decade in business and I’m proud to say we still have a passion for shouting about exciting businesses – locally, nationally, and now internationally.”
