There is a universal notion or belief that for a dress to look great, it needs to be expensive and has to have a branded luxury. There are times when stylish or luxury fashion has become synonymous with sacrificing your comfort the entire event. It was way back in the day when society was the one that dictated what looked good on every individual.
Because of that, fashion has taken a hit with many detractors. Some branded it as limited and only for those with perfect bodies and rich pockets. However, modern fashion has evolved into something more fruitful and fulfilling. It’s no longer about the brand, the design, or the colours and comfort is the new luxury.
Do you dress to impress?

How often have you browsed through fashion magazines and tried to mimic the designs and styles you see? You may have to put extra effort into dressing up and wearing complimenting lingerie such as full figured bras and seamless underwear. And after paying close attention to detail, you may be able to replicate the most complex fashion looks.
This is usually the case for some women. We tend to achieve a look to impress the people around us, especially in gatherings and formal events. However, it shouldn’t be the case. Dressing up is not about impressing other people; it’s all about expression and giving glimpses of your personality. You should be free to explore your choice more than try to fit it in, keep in mind that comfort is the new luxury.
Why should comfort be on top of style?

One of the things that you should consider when expressing yourself through fashion is comfort. Gone are the days when high-heeled stilettos are a must for formal events. Nowadays, every person is free to wear flats if they are more comfortable with them. There are no longer stereotypes when it comes to wearing anything on any occasion. Remember that time when Lady Gaga decided to wear clothes made of meat? It was creative and comfortable for her, so she went for it.
The same goes for choosing the materials and design of your clothing. For instance, if you are not a big fan of silk and satin, which is often the material used for formal gowns, you can reinvent with other textile materials such as cotton or wool. The key is to look for an outfit that will not give you a hard time.
Think of it this way, have you been to a party where all you are thinking about is going home and changing into your comfy t-shirt and shorts? How many times have you experienced that? Well, that shouldn’t be the case. As much as possible, you want to choose the type of clothing that will not make you want to end the night right away. Comfort should always be the top priority as you pick each item in your wardrobe.
It goes beyond the brand name

Luxury is always associated with brand names. Well, we cannot blame you. That is how the fashion industry has been framed for a long time. If a fashion item is not made in Paris, it is not something to consider. Nowadays, it’s no longer the case. Surely, you cannot really surpass the quality and elegance that these brands have established for a long time, but it’s not everything there is.
If you are not born with a lot of gold and fortune, you may have to work double or triple time just to afford to buy a single piece of French-made clothing. And because of that, you may think that you cannot look luxurious wearing local brands. That’s wrong. Looking at the part doesn’t require branded names on each of your outfits.
As mentioned above, fashion is all about expressing yourself. If you can find the perfect dress from a branded store and you can afford it, go ahead and buy it. However, don’t limit yourself from mixing and matching some pieces in your wardrobe. Additionally, you can also be creative and resourceful by personally altering some of your clothing. You can cut those jumpsuits and make them a pair of pants. In fashion, your creativity is the limit and remember, comfort is the new luxury.
After all, not all these branded items fit your personality. It means that not all expensive clothing depicts the character that you want to portray on specific occasions. So, it wouldn’t hurt to look around and try other outfits that are not only easy on the pocket but exudes the luxury you’re looking for.
Wearing comfy is the luxury

What you wear is all about you, and it may vary from one person to another. You are not required to follow in the footsteps of your celebrity idols all the time. Aside from the fact that they may have an unlimited stash of income, what looks on them may not necessarily look good on you. Always go for comfort. Wearing something comfy is the new age perception of luxury.
