Leeds Black Music Festival – Salute to Reggae 5th August
Salute to Reggae, organised by BHI and supported by Leeds City Council is a vibrant annual live music concert showcasing the varying genres of Reggae, from Dancehall to Lovers rock and everything in between, from yesteryear to tomorrow! Set in a specially created outdoor arena on Millennium Square as part of the annual Summer Series live music programme, the concert celebrates the very best of UK Reggae in a safe and friendly environment.
On site facilities include a fully licensed bar, merchandise and authentic Caribbean Food.

Popworld Festival – Millenium Square – 6th August
The Popworld Festival lands in Millennium Square for a huge event on Saturday 6th August 2022! Expect all the things you love about Popworld along with a BIG line up of Pop Superstars including Peter Andre and S Club. You won’t want to miss what is guaranteed to a dream come true for all pop music fans!
Leeds Pride – Across the City Centre – 7th August


The UK’s friendliest Pride! Leeds Pride over the last 15 years has become one of Yorkshire’s leading events for the LGBT+ community, committed to championing and celebrating the contribution of LGBT+ people in Leeds and beyond. Leeds Pride is one of our city’s most important events that attracts over 50,000 people each year who come to watch our parade of over 100 floats weave its way through the city centre. The parade has always been the priority for Leeds Pride as a visible presence of LGBT+ people and a recognition of the origins of the Pride movement.

First Direct Arena: PAW Patrol Live! Race to the Rescue – 10th August
Nickelodeon’s hit show PAW Patrol is on a roll with two live tours! The whole family will enjoy these PAWsome shows complete with heroic characters, fun songs and dances, interactive elements, and captivating storylines!
Leeds Festival – Bramham Park – 26th-28th August

With two main stages running simultaneously once again, the double headliners have already been announced – Rage Against the Machine and Halsey on Friday, followed by Dave and Megan Thee Stallion on Saturday with Arctic Monkeys and Bring Me the Horizon closing out the Sunday night.
Leeds West Indian Carnival – Potternewton Park – 29th August


Leeds West Indian Carnival is the perfect blend of jaw-dropping costumes, infectious tropical rhythms, mouth watering food, Caribbean Culture and entertainment for everyone. Held annually on the last Monday in August, every year the anticipation for this stunning display of colour and sheer joy that winds its way through the streets of Leeds, builds with events that present the best of carnival culture.
It looks amazing, sounds great, tastes fabulous – it is a sensory delight. It is rapture, harmony and a feast for the senses all wrapped up in what is probably Yorkshire’s brightest day. It is definitely a showcase for the best of Caribbean culture and a celebration for all. The best way to experience Leeds West Indian Carnival? Take part. A close second is to take it in. However you choose to experience it, the choice is yours – just prepare to be amazed.
