Facing Mont Ventoux, Crillon le Brave is far more than a hotel. This hidden refuge of twelve stone houses, interconnected by narrow Provençal pathways, invites guests to experience the region differently. In this part of the Vaucluse, time slows down and seasons set the pace, so that each stay is an immersion within the landscape, alongside its artisans and its art de vivre.
On the heels of a season defined by renewal, Crillon le Brave moves through the summer with programming that celebrates Provence through what it holds most precious: its savoir-faire, its produce, and the people who bring it all to life. Reopened this spring, the village-within-a-village added three newly renovated houses, a completely reimagined spa, a second pool, and Maison Tilleul, a new space dedicated to culinary experiences and retreats.

When the hills of the Ventoux take on their golden autumn hues and the first scents of truffle drift through the woodlands, the hotel-village invites guests to discover the region through another lens with experiences where gastronomy, nature, and the passing-down of craft speak to one another with quiet precision.

At Crillon le Brave, every detail tells the story of the land. The terraces open onto vineyards and olive groves facing Mont Ventoux, the ancient stones hold the cool of centuries, and La Table du Ventoux honors a cuisine deeply rooted in its terroir. At the heart of the refuge, Maison Tilleul has become a true place of sharing. Designed to feel like a family home, it hosts culinary workshops, gatherings, and retreats all year round, where guests cook as much as they share. Here, the passing-down of craft sits at the very center: learning a technique, discovering an ingredient, sharing a meal—each becomes a way of fully experiencing Provence.
In Search of the Black Diamond

When Provence slips into autumn, another season begins, quieter, more secret. It reveals one of the region’s most precious treasures: the truffle. Crillon le Brave presents Terre de Truffes, an immersive experience celebrating the black diamond of the Ventoux and those who bring it to life. Here, the truffle isn’t simply found, it’s earned. From November 13 to 15 or December 3 to 5, the hotel invites guests to discover it alongside the Jaumard brothers, truffle farmers for generations, unraveling its mysteries in a warm, epicurean spirit.
Between walks through the oak groves, truffle-hunting demonstrations alongside passionate producers, encounters with local artisans, and gourmet tastings, guests discover a living heritage where craft, nature, and cuisine answer one another. The experience continues at the table with a masterclass led by Chef Thomas Lesage: a tasting with the truffle farmers, conversation, and a dinner where the truffle is handled with mastery, yet restraint. A real immersion, rooted in the land, to understand before savoring, and above all, to leave with an understanding and a bond.

Throughout autumn and winter, Crillon le Brave unveils a wardrobe created for house guests, in partnership with heritage outdoor brand Aigle. Whether setting off in search of truffles, joining the grape harvest, escaping by bike into the heart of Provence, exploring Mont Ventoux, or simply taking the time to discover the surroundings, the French label equips guests with its iconic boots and a windbreaker for added comfort, available to borrow or buy at the hotel’s Atelier du Tilleul. Since 1853, Aigle has built its name on a singular craft, rooted in the made-in-France artistry of its handmade rubber boots and extended, ever since, to everything it makes for life outdoors—durable, functional pieces imagined for all weather. A collection in perfect resonance with Crillon le Brave.
Vendange & Cuvée with the Chêne Bleu

Each year, at the end of summer, the Chêne Bleu estate enters its finest season. Just north of Crillon le Brave, its vineyards rise to 550 meters in the Dentelles de Montmirail, facing Mont Ventoux. Here, Grenache and Syrah ripen slowly, carried by the altitude and the light of the Ventoux.
A new experience created in collaboration with the estate invites guests to take part in the grape harvest in Provence. On September 26, for a single morning, watching gives way to doing. Pruning shears in hand, guests move down the rows, learning to recognize the perfect cluster and discovering what the grape owes to soil and light before it becomes wine – a craft of the hands, passed on directly by those who practice it every day.

Next comes the cellar, then the barrel room, where the wine quietly continues to age. A tasting closes the visit, followed by a lunch shared with the harvesters, a natural extension of the morning, carried by the warmth and generosity that define the spirit of the place. Each guest leaves with a bottle of the Astralabe cuvée, its label engraved with their name—the tangible trace of a morning spent understanding the terroir before drinking it.
In Celebration of Creativity

To celebrate creativity, connection, and wonder, Crillon le Brave makes room for festive moments throughout the season. Halloween has become a highlight of the hotel-village calendar. The magic takes hold and the refuge dons its finest. Between creative workshops, pumpkin carving, spooky face-painting, and delicious tastings, the mood promises a magical, mysterious stay where fear turns to joy.

Crillon le Brave celebrates the art of brunch, where craftsmanship and cuisine converge. Guests are invited to explore the craft of ceramics alongside Emmanuelle Popelin, founder of POEM Ceramics, as winter ushers in the holidays, December 6 brunch gives way to the art of floral design alongside Nicole Marcoe, the American florist and founder of Nicole Renee Flowers.

Through this rich programming, Crillon le Brave continues its commitment to bringing Provence to life in its truest form. This is an invitation to slow down, meet the people who shape the land, and rediscover the pleasures of shared experiences. The seasons don’t simply pass, they are lived.
