The Courthouse, part of Flat Cap Hotels, is set to host and support The Twilight Bark Ball on 28 June, a glistening charity event in support of three charities; Dogstar Foundation, Manchester & Cheshire Dogs Home and IAPWA – charities that help dogs locally and globally.
Situated in the picturesque Cheshire town of Knutsford, The Courthouse is a stunning Grade II listed building, designed by famous architect, George Moneypenny and originally the Knutsford Crown Court. Lovingly restored to its former glory, The Courthouse now houses a grand hotel, restaurant and events space. The building’s ornate ceilings, huge feature windows and dramatic décor make it the perfect location for the gala ball.
In support of The Twilight Bark Ball, The Courthouse will host the evening in the grand setting of The Courtroom, which will include an arrival red carpet and dance floor. Guests will be treated to live entertainment, a three-course dinner, drinks and a grand auction.
The auction is set to be the highlight of the evening, with Flat Cap Hotels gifting an overnight stay and bed & breakfast at one of its renowned Grade II listed venues. Other prizes include dog friendly holidays, corporate seats for Manchester United, a pet portrait and vintage designer jewellery from several major fashion houses.
Knutsford atelier, Emma Beaumont, has also donated a bespoke evening gown worth £2,500 for the auction. The winner will have a made to measure dress created after the event to their own specifications.
Ruben Pita, General Manager at The Courthouse, said: “There is a real sense of grandeur about The Courthouse, so naturally it lends itself well to being the ideal backdrop for The Twilight Bark Ball. We’re proud to be supporting worthy causes and look forward to hosting the event this summer.”
Sally-Anne Bedford, co-organiser of The Twilight Bark Ball added, “Our ball is for everyone who is passionate about dogs, no matter where the dog is in the world. Our nominated charities support dogs that need re-homing locally, as well as those that are suffering far away due to neglect and cruelty. This will be a night of celebration dedicated to all of our best friends. Everyone who attends will not only have a wonderful night out but will be helping dogs all over the world. If you love dogs then this is the ball for you”.
In addition to The Courthouse, sponsors of the event include Duerrs, Cadman Screeding & Underfloor Heating Ltd, Awesome Creative and Emma Beaumont.
Tickets can be booked at www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/the-twilight-bark-ball-tickets-58086349836 and are priced at £65 per person or £600 for a table of ten. The ticket includes a welcome reception drink on arrival, a three-course gala vegan dinner, coffee and free entry into a raffle to win a family or pet photographic portrait.
