The Christmas celebrations are finally over, the decorations are packed away and it’s back to work with 5am dark wake-up calls so it’s no surprise that Blue Monday [21st January 2019] – dubbed the most depressing day of the year is starting to rear its ugly head yet again. From the 21st to 27th January in both Manchester and London, the iconic 90’s game-show turned live experience The Crystal Maze will be encouraging their users to not only secure those coveted crystals from extra time in the final dome, but to search for special blue crystal-shaped tokens throughout game play. ISLAND POKÉ X CHOTTO MATTE – MOOD VS MIND.

Island Poké, known for their fresh Hawaiian cuisine have teamed up with the renowned Japanese-Peruvian restaurant Chotto Matte to not only create a delicious bowl of mood-enhancing ingredients which includes Red Halapeño sauce lovingly covering the Sea Bass Ceviche which has an energising effect and Alphonso Mango Salsa which has been proven to aid productivity but also to support Mind, the mental health charity on their #blueanyday campaign. £0.25 of every Island Poké x Chotto Matte Bowl (RRP: £8.95) will be donated to Mind.

LUMIE LIGHT – WEWORK AND JOHN LEWIS POPUPS.

Light Therapy Specialists, Lumie will be running pop-ups in WeWork buildings and in John Lewis during the week commencing 21st January. Lumie was created to help develop lights to combat the symptoms of Seasonal Affective Disorder, the Winter Blues and to help promote better sleep, waking, mood, energy and sports performance. STAPLES – POP UP HAPPINESS EXPERIENCE.

Staples, the office solutions supplier knows all about dull office days, which is why they will be launching a pop-up for Blue Monday that not only includes massages and smoothies but also puppies and the ‘perfect pen’! Following a research report that investigated the issue surrounding happiness in the workplace Professor Sir Cary Cooper, an expert in organisational psychology and mental health has worked alongside Staples in creating the ultimate ‘Happiness’ event.

THE PLANT HUB X KIN BLUE SMOOTHIE

The Plant Hub, the brand-new plant-based cookery school and café that has just launched in East London has partnered with the delicious and natural protein company KIN Nutrition, whose vegan protein contains only six ingredients – with no added nasties to create the ultimate health and mood boosting blue smoothie including Blueberries, Bananas, Hemp Seeds, Spirulina, Oat Milk and KIN Vegan Vanilla Protein.
