London Christmas Menus

The lights are up on Oxford Street which means we can officially start talking about all things Christmas!

Whilst the traditional turkey and all the trimmings are great, fortunately there are plenty of restaurants throughout London offering up other Festive alternatives.

Whether your looking for a Sicilian-feast for your staff Christmas do, or a fun Christmas burger and bowling with mates, we’ve got you covered with the London Christmas Menus below….

Sicilian feasting at Norma

Since opening its doors on Charlotte Street in September, Norma has been serving up modern-Sicilian small plates and sharing dishes with aplomb. Accommodating small or large parties, Norma is a great alternative to the usual turkey dinner and Christmas pudding, instead serving up dishes such as Arancini with burrata, truffle, wild mushroom and parmesan sauce; Crispy squid and mussels, sage, capers and saffron alioli; Roasted old spot pork, spiced quince, black cabbage and roasted Roosevelt potatoes; Warm saffron poached pear, hot chocolate sauce and hazelnut ice cream. Prices start from £35 per person (2 courses) to £65 per person for a full sharing Sicilian feast.  

Dine with the courtesans at Cora Pearl or Kitty Fisher’s

If cosy, secluded corners, romantic lighting and delicious food are what you’re after this Christmas, then look no further than Kitty Fisher’s or little sister, Cora Pearl. Both named after infamous ladies of the night from their respective place of residence, Shepherd Market and Covent Garden, both are perfect spots for a romantic wintery date night, or a dinner to thoroughly impress the boss. Head chef George Barson has created a duo of menus including Veal with celeriac, chestnuts and sauce Bordelaise alongside Brussel sprouts with bacon and the legendary house chips at Cora Pearl; andBeetroot, Dorstone goat’s cheese & walnut ketchup at Kitty Fisher’s. Both are serving a three course meal with canapes £55 (Cora Pearl) £65 (Kitty Fisher’s).

Classic British favourites at Roast

Whether you want an intimate dinner with a couple of friends and family, or have been left responsible for the booking of the office Christmas party, Roast has you covered. Located in the heart of Borough Market, there are three menus to choose from, ranging from a party of 1-9 guests, up to 120. Example dishes include starters of Markham Estate venison tartare with pickled beetroot, blackberries and foraged herbs or a Pork, sage and onion scotch egg. For main course, of course there is a classic Roast Norfolk bronze turkey dinner with all the traditional trimmings, alongside Roast line-caught halibut, pancetta, glazed onions, chestnut mushrooms and a red wine sauce or a Cauliflower and chestnut roast with rosemary roasties, Brussel sprouts, vegan stuffing and vegan gravy.  

Warming winter drinks at Frenchie Covent Garden

Christmas and New Year in Covent Garden is a wonderful time of year, with Frenchie at the heart of the festivities on Henrietta Street. For guests they have created two warming Christmas cocktails to keep the cold away. Frenchie’s White Mulled wine with white port will be available for £9. Frenchie have also teamed up with Fair & Divine Chocolate to create their HOT CHOCK (£12)! A combination of Fair Juniper Gin, Fair Hot Chocolate infusion and green chartreuse Chantilly to give a little kick to a much-loved drink. 

A festive Parisian feast at Les Platanes 

At French bistro deluxe Les Platanes there is a choice of three, utterly indulgent Christmas menus. Available from the 18th November and running all the way through the Christmas period, Les Platanes is perfect for festive celebrations. Ranging from £55-£90pp, each menu offers elegant and seasonal delights, presenting dishes including Cauliflower and truffle velouté; Game and foie gras terrine with spiced pear chutney, and finishing with Frozen Christmas nougatine, there’s no better way to celebrate this winter.

Christmas party fun at All Star Lanes

All Star Lanes is the ultimate Christmas party destination, whether you’re after a fun night out with friends or a unique venue to host your corporate Christmas party. This year sees the return of the legendary Christmas dinner burger – Southern fried turkey, sage & onion sausage patty, roasted potato mayo and cranberry sauce, topped with a pig in blanket and side of American gravy. There are also plenty of vegan options, including a Jolly Jack vegan burger and Stuffed roasted butternut squash. Choose the Ultimate Feast package for an all-round celebratory experience, which includes a game of bowling, 2 or 3 course festive feast and half a bottle of wine per person at £36pp.

The Petersham Restaurant

Petersham Nurseries have brought the seasonal floristry out in full force with their festive makeover of the Petersham Restaurant. Starting at £60 for four courses, guests can expect to enjoy seasonal canapes including Beef tartare with capers, shallots and horseradish while absorbing the floral festive atmosphere and sipping on a Bellini.  Next up is a selection of delectable dishes including Mozzarella di bufala with roasted Delica pumpkin chili and sage and Roasted Haye Farm pork with celeriac and apple potatoes and garden chard, all rounded off with Original Bean chocolate with Zisola olive oil ice cream and honeycomb.  A five course menu priced at £90 adds a wider selection of festive canapes and a Courgette, mint and pecorino Toscano risotto as a middle course, while for £120 guests can enjoy a truly special seven-course feast complete with fish course, Fillet of John dory with pink fir potatoes and buttered leeks and a pre-dessert Yellow peach and thyme sorbet

La Goccia

Festive floristry is also at large in Petersham Nurseries’ La Goccia. This snug restaurant offers guests views across the verdant, fairy light-filled Floral Court at the heart of the Covent Garden site while they enjoy a specially crafted festive set menu. Starting at £55 for four courses, the Italian-inspired menu kicks off with an assortment of seasonal cicchetti before guests choose from a selection of wood fried and grilled mains including wood roasted Haye Farm chicken, gorgonzola polenta and thyme crumb and oven roasted paprika hake with almond sauce, pickled onion and parsley. Sides feature La Goccia’s takes on Christmas favourites such as roasted Brussel sprouts with prosciutto and chestnut Pangrattato and potatoes al forno with rosemary and garlic. To round it all off, festive desserts also give classic Christmas flavours a La Goccia makeover, with a choice of either a clementine meringue tart with mascarpone ice cream or a chocolate and chestnut pavlova.
