CELEBRATE THE LAUNCH OF SHOLA IN WHITE CITY WITH 50% OFF FOOD
Chef Aida Khan will be opening the doors of her debut restaurant Shola on Monday 25th March.
To celebrate the grand launch, from 25th-29th March this much anticipated eatery will be offering 50% off its menu of authentic Pakistani dishes, operating on walk-ins only from 11am-3pm.
At Shola the finest quality ingredients, innovative cooking techniques and traditional family recipes that have been enjoyed for generations in the households of Karachi combine to create an exceptional South Asian culinary experience like no other – and all at amazing value for money.
Here you will find neither short cuts nor inferior ingredients. Spices are roasted and ground on site, and masalas are made from scratch.
Destined to become instant classics are the likes of Timatar Ka Kut, sharp smashed tomatoes tempered with a fragrant mix of curry leaves, roasted onion and coriander seeds; Kurkuri Bhindi, skinny okra fries coated in spicy gluten free bread crumbs; Khattee Daal, a mixture of lentils slow cooked and tempered with curry leaves and whole red chillies; Beef Seekh Kebab, melt-in-the-mouth charcoal grilled beef kebabs, and Lamb Shoulder, slices of tender lamb shoulder charcoal grilled on the Mibrasa oven, with hints of pepper, cinnamon and cardamom.
Equally delectable desserts round off this flavour-packed culinary offering, spearheaded by Naan Khatai, a crumbly semolina and cardamom cookie which goes perfectly at the end of the meal with Doodpathi Chai – a Pakistani “builders tea” cooked with milk on the stove top with aromatics.
Says Aida, “At Shola our aim is to take you back to an era of simple, clean cooking, the way it has been done in our family kitchens for decades. We hope the food speaks for itself and can’t wait to share a piece of our city with you.”
