Total Warrior, the Northern Powerhouse in Obstacle Course Racing, is to unveil never before seen obstacles as it returns to Leeds for a fifth year on the weekend of 23rd and 24th June.

The event at Bramham Park, which is timed and suitable for all levels of fitness, will see a redesign of the route. The course features 25 punishing obstacles, combining to set the ultimate test of strength, stamina, determination and teamwork. Each finisher receives a well-deserved free beer at the end of the race.

Participants will be treated to brand new obstacles in 2018, including The Waterfall – a truly unique obstacle which sees runners scrambling up and over a series of walls whilst contending with water gushing down from above.

Back by popular demand is the iconic Human BBQ, which requires runners to jump over burning fire logs into a 4ft pit of water, as well as other favourites such as Hang Tough, The Plunge, Slideaway, The Shocker and The Ultimate Mud Moguls.

Total Warrior, whose strapline is “Accept the challenge…”, first arrived in Leeds in June 2014. That inaugural event attracted more than 5,000 participants over the two days in year one.

Since then the Leeds event has become the largest event, selling out each year with 7,000 participants. The team behind Total Warrior is aiming to become one of the biggest mass participation events in the North, alongside the Great North Run, over the next three years. Following the Leeds event in June, Total Warrior will arrive in the Lake District on 4th and 5th August.

Andrew Murray, Director of Total Warrior, commented: “It’s our great pleasure to be returning to Leeds this year. The event venues are vitally important to providing a great all-round event experience – Bramham Park offers just that.

“Total Warrior prides itself on offering greater variety and more obstacles-per-kilometre than any other race out there. We’re very excited for what’s in store this year and look forward to building on our participation numbers this year.”

Tickets to the Leeds Total Warrior event are available now from £59.95, before a price increase at midnight on 3rd May. To get your ticket, visit
