GADGETS

There are so many newly released gadgets that we are coveting here at H&N Magazine, in fact the list would stretch for a mile, so we’ve narrowed it down to our February top 5 gadgets to watch out for.

Epson, EcoTank ET-2650

Let’s start with the superb Epson EcoTank ET-2650* cartridge free printer, which we love. We have one on loan for a few weeks and the fact that this small piece of equipment has an EcoTank, which can print 4,500 pages in black and a staggering 7,500 pages in each of the colours before the ink needs to be refilled, is already the biggest bonus for us.

The EcoTank has been purpose-built to provide a long-term printing solution, delivering consistent and reliable results thanks to the advanced Micro Piezo printhead and genuine Epson ink.

The 3-in-1 inkjet (printer, copier, scanner) provides an ultra-low-cost printing solution for the home or small office and it comes with Wi-Fi Direct (easy to connect to devices including smartphones and tablets), LCD screen (effortless control without a PC) and an SD card slot (for instant printing).

So for anyone looking to invest in an eco-printer for the home this is absolutely perfect and we highly recommend. Prices vary from £170, available from www.currys.co.uk or www.staples.co.uk ink refills are priced at £8.99 each.

Blink Home Security System

Moving into some exciting home security news with the Blink Smart Home Security Camera System*.

This great little system is ultra easy to set up, it took us just 15 minutes to unbox, read the set-up instructions, fit the batteries, download the app, and fit the system to an exterior door. There were no wires or cables to fumble around with, just the batteries for the Blink system (which will last for 2 years by-the-way), and the app was simple, easy to follow, and we started using it straight away.

The wireless camera is stylish and small with innovative HD video technology, including motion and temperature sensors. When the Blink camera system detects motion it immediately sends a push notification alert and HD quality video to your Smartphone, and we can honestly say that the picture quality is excellent.

Blink has produced a super savvy, extremely classy, rather fabulous home security system that we find extremely useful. Not only has the Blink system been videoing the people that have called at the door, but it has also been filming each of the animals that venture to the door too (cats, field mice, and best of all a pheasant). There is no set up fee, no contract, and no monthly payments, just the price for the system.

Therefore, if you or anyone you know is looking to venture into the world of home security, the Blink Home Security Camera System is one to invest in.

Prices start from £129.99, available from www.blinkforhome.co.uk

Designed with style in mind it has a flexible connector to fit most iPhone cases, so that your style isn’t compromised while carrying or using the iXpand.
