To welcome the festive season in style this year, The Ivy St. Helen’s Square is giving you the chance to win a delicious three-course meal for two, complete with wine and limited-edition Christmas cocktails.


Based in York, St. Helen’s Square has transformed into a fairy tale-esque gingerbread wonderland with the The Ivy restaurant creating a spectacular, gingerbread-themed display surrounding its entrance.

Made up of festive red baubles, tasty-looking gingerbread men, swirling candies and other treats, all complete with a beautiful wreath, the display is sure to get visitors into the festive spirit.

Celebrating Christmas the right way, The Ivy St. Helen’s Square has created a range of cocktails for guests to enjoy, including the Gingerbread Espresso Martini, the Roasted Chestnut Julep and Mulled Cider. Each beverage captures the festive season perfectly, flawlessly complementing the winter menu at the brasserie. The competition winner and a guest will be able to choose from dishes such as the classic Ivy shepherd’s pie, succulent Iberico pork and roast fillet of salmon to warm a winter’s evening.

There’s a festive dessert on offer especially for the yuletide period that’s guaranteed to leave guests feeling Christmassy. Santa’s Buckle is a delightful Christmas pudding mousse served with brandy ice cream and a rich, smooth caramel sauce, all based on the flavours of a traditional Christmas pudding. Also on offer will be The Ivy’s famous chocolate bombe dessert – a chocolate lover’s dream, it features a honeycomb centre and hot salted caramel sauce, along with a range of other delectable desserts to entice guests to divulge in a sweet treat.
