The Ivy Victoria Quarter is showing its support for the city’s famous Pride festival by hosting a series of vibrant, fun-filled celebrations for guests to enjoy.

A bright, eye-catching installation featuring neon, rainbow-coloured angel wings and a multi-coloured floral heart will take ‘pride’ of place in the restaurant’s entrance, created by Yorkshire-based florist, Helen James.

The brasserie has also collaborated exclusively with Slingsby Gin of Harrogate to craft three new, limited-edition Pride-inspired cocktails that will allow guests to continue the celebrations until end of August.

The One Kiss (priced at £10) features a combination of Slingsby Rhubarb Gin, Briottet apricot, lemongrass and ginger cordial, lemon juice and raspberries, garnished with a skewered raspberry, while the Freedom 90 (priced at £9.50) blends Slingsby Gooseberry Gin with Midori, lime juice, mint and a splash of sugar syrup, topped with a floating Pride rainbow flag. Somebody to Love (priced at £9.50) sees Slingsby’s classic London Dry gin mixed with Briottet blue curacao, lemon juice, egg white and sugar syrup with an ivy leaf stencil made out of edible glitter to create a refreshing, delectable tipple.

What’s more, on Sunday, 4August, guests and party-goers will be invited to join in the festivities with an exciting, Pride-inspired brunch taking place in the restaurant from 1pm to 3pm. Diners will be entertained by cabaret act, Miss Polly Rae, as well as flamboyant dancers, whilst enjoying an array of mouth-watering Ivy brunch classics and a live DJ.

Speaking about the Pride celebrations, Rob Hynes, General Manager at The Ivy Victoria Quarter, said: “We couldn’t think of a better way to commemorate the city’s Pride celebrations than by partnering with Slingsby Gin of Harrogate to unveil a trio of delicious cocktails for diners to enjoy.

“Our beautiful floral installation will capture the bold, dazzling nature of the celebrations, while our Pride-inspired brunch – with its brilliant performers and DJ spinning the decks – is sure to be popular with guests too. The Ivy Victoria Quarter is most definitely the place to be to celebrate Pride in style.”

Clare Gibson, Marketing Director at Slingsby Gin comments: “Slingsby is a proud Yorkshire business that does things differently, thinks differently and has a different vision to others, so we’re really excited to be partnering with The Ivy Victoria Quarter on an event which will celebrate the very best of all things Pride and create a fun and vibrant experience for those that walk through the brasserie’s doors this August”.

Cocktails will be available from Thursday, 1 August to Saturday, 31 August. For further information or to book a table at The Ivy Victoria Quarter please visit www.theivyleeds.com or call 01423 787 100.
