The Potting Shed in Guiseley are launching a new house beer for a fantastic cause.

The Potting Shed, located in the heart of Guiseley are introducing new house beer, Pippa’s West Coast Pale Ale. This will be available from 7pm on Monday 4th March.

Pippa’s West Coast Pale Ale has been created by Stod Fold Brewery after hearing the tragic story of Ian Twitchett’s (the General Manager of Potting Shed Guiseley) daughter, Pippa.

Pippa was born 10 weeks prematurely alongside her twin sister in August 2017. She weighed just 726 grams at birth and passed away aged 4 months after catching a virus which resulted in acute liver failure.

Her parents – who live in Meanwood with Pippa’s twin sister Penny and their other daughter Evelyn – have launched Pipsqueaks Charity, which is dedicated to supporting neonatal units in Yorkshire.

Every pint of Pippa’s West Coast Pale Ale will donate 20p to Pipsqueak’s.

Hamish Boyle from Stod Fold Brewery said “Pippas West Coast Pale Ale was created after hearing Ian and his family’s inspirational personal story in how the Pipsqueak’s Charity was formed, it gives the team at Stod Fold Brewery great pleasure to create a beer, that will in return, go a very small way to help raise additional funds for the massively underfunded neonatal units throughout the region.”

The Potting Shed is a unique venue boasting an indoor to outdoor garden theme, serving a wide range of creative cocktails and homemade food.
It’s situated on Oxford Road in Guiseley, housed in the old HSBC bank.
