Prashad’s award-winning Head Chef Minal is bringing a Gujarati-inspired tasting menu to Leeds’ The Tetley for one night only, on February 27th.
Prashad serves up the finest tastes of Gujarat and North Indian vegetarian food, with a local and seasonal focus too. Born more than 25 years ago in Bradford and now based in Drighlington, Prashad soared to fame as runner up on Gordon Ramsay’s hit TV show ‘Ramsay’s Best Restaurant’, and has continued the upward trajectory.
It is the only 2 star AA Indian restaurant in Yorkshire, and has also been awarded Michelin’s prestigious Bib Gourmand. Minal uses the Gujarati heritage she was brought up on, infused with her own culinary character – one of finesse, delicacy and balance. No wonder she is up for an Oliver for Best Chef this year.
Helen Flower, Head of Business Development, The Tetley: “We are so looking forward to welcoming the Prashad team into The Tetley’s restaurant space. Minal creates some of the most exciting and innovative Indian cookery we’ve ever tried, so bringing this for a one-off collaboration night inside The Tetley’s walls should make for a fantastic occasion.”
Bobby Patel, Owner and Front of House, Prashad: “We are very excited to be bringing our fine dining concept into the heart of Leeds. Minal’s menu is high-end Indian dining, providing unexpected hits of flavour and spice throughout, all carefully balanced and curated. We’re excited to be serving up in The Tetley too; their arts space is inspirational. We’re looking forward to what should be a really special night.”
Prashad’s takeover in The Tetley’s restaurant space offers up a five-course tasting menu, with delicious vegan alternatives available.
The evening will offer two sittings, one at 6:30pm and the second at 8:30pm.
Tickets are limited and are available here.
