It’s an exciting time for Yeadon this weekend with the opening of NEST bar in the old Natwest Bank building on Silver Lane.
NEST will bring a taste of the city centre bar experience, without the long and costly journey home.
NEST’s promise is to serve a fantastic drinking experience locally, whilst keeping it affordable.
Their belief is that your well-earned drink should not be compromised.
David Watson (Owner, with over 20 years bar experience) said: “When I became a dad and moved to the suburbs, I would often meet up with friends for a few well-earned drinks. I found I would compromise on the quality of those special few hours in a nearby venue that was just okay, or I’d spend money and time getting to and from the city centre. This is how the NEST concept came about – serve great drinks, play good music, provide excellent service and offer a welcoming experience, all within a short distance of home.
“Every effort has been made to make sure NEST guests have a great time. We’ve created a ‘seasonal specials’ cocktail list to sit alongside your usual favourites. We’re working with local breweries, award-winning coffee roasters and batch distillers as well as the more well known brands. We’re supporting independent local businesses through the sourcing of ingredients, interior decoration and glassware, and we’re working hard to make our food and drinks suitable for all diets.
“After years of dreaming and months of planning, I can’t wait to welcome guests to NEST”.
The arrival of NEST has seen a complete renovation of the old NatWest Bank building situated on Silver Lane. It boasts a ground floor lounge, catering for both the daytime coffee culture, and a well-rounded menu of wine, beers and cocktails into the evening. ‘The Hideaway’ provides a cosy and more intimate area with booth seating and can be booked for small gatherings.
The interior has been carefully designed to reflect a warm and welcoming atmosphere with the use of copper, warm fabrics, dark blues, bespoke features and statement lighting.
NEST will open every day from 10am, serving coffee and hot drinks, bar snacks and light-bites until 7pm and a wines, beers and cocktails until 11pm Sunday to Thursday and until midnight Friday and Saturday. It is both dog-friendly and child-friendly until 7pm.
