We’re on a mission to continually search out the best UK cured and fresh meats and deliver them direct to you. That makes us your go-to people for everything from fresh (not frozen!) succulent steaks and chops, sensational sausages, bacon and fabulously tasty free range chicken to classic cured meat cuts, new wave UK-style saucissons and beautiful British biltongs.

We believe the standard of meat products from the best British producers is exceptional – but that doesn’t mean that they have to be prohibitively expensive. Our boxes ensure that affordable, quality fresh meats and charcuterie finds its way seamlessly to people’s front door to be enjoyed by families all over the country. We go out of our way to select and support British farms…not factories. All of our meats are pure, healthy, protein-packed natural products.

Jesse Rees & Stefan Cudby
Jesse’s appetite for great meaty treats was built on years of residence in France, Italy and the USA – and set about exploring the mouthwatering new wave of British artisan produce. Sharing his discoveries with friends and family, he soon realised that there was a real hunger for these healthy, protein packed, delicious delights and along with old pal and biltong-lover Stefan, Jesse set up a service to source and supply great UK cured meats. At that point fresh meat was something of a sideline, but then Jesse popped down to his local independent butcher.

Dan Neal is a third generation New Forest family butcher – with a well-established reputation for the best in free range meats, meticulously prepared for the queues of customers that flood to his shop on a daily basis. One of those customers was Jesse…one taste of Dan’s great steaks led to another…and another…and then a full range of his fresh meats from small local farms joining the Meatbox selections! Plus, our special meat counter, where customers can choose their favourites and create their own Meatbox – with every cut vacuum sealed for 24 hour delivery, in recyclable wool lined boxes to ensure they arrive in perfect condition.

Meet the Meatbox! – Quality of meat varies depending on the environment an animal was raised in and how they were fed or treated. Raising livestock in a way that resembles natures own allows the animal to grow up healthily and happily and improves the taste and texture of meat. Free to roam will always be our ethos and if we are going to eat meat why not do it right? We work with farms that understand our values and butchers who don’t waste any part of the animal.
