To celebrate National Burger Day on Thursday, August 24TH, D&D London’s latest edition to the Leeds culinary scene is offering a limited edition melt-in-the-middle cheeseburger.

Burger lovers of Leeds can relish the opportunity to try the restaurant’s New York-inspired creation, the ‘Meat the Big Brother’, which is made up of a juicy sirloin and rump cap burger minced with jalapeños and cheddar to create a melt in the middle centre, sandwiched in a brioche bun with house sauce, crisp gem lettuce, red onion, guacamole, jalapeno and tomato relish and smoked cheddar. The ‘Meat the Big Brother’ burger will only be available on August 24th and costs £13.50.

The meaty delight was created by East 59th’s Head Chef, James Bretnall-Bennett. He said: “To celebrate this year’s National Burger Day we wanted to create a burger of epic proportions!

“Inspired by the burgers of New York, ‘Meat the Big Brother’ is a supersized flavour combination of beef, cheese, and spicy jalapenos. I can’t wait for people to come down and try it.” The rooftop bar and grill will also be serving their Hot ‘n’ Sour Glazed Chicken Burger and classic cheeseburger for just £10 with fries and a soft drink. East 59th is restaurant group D&D London’s fourth location in Leeds, following on from Crafthouse and Angelica at Trinity Leeds, and Issho – an authentic Japanese restaurant and bar at Victoria Gate.

East 59th’s sister restaurant Angelica is also celebrating National Burger Day by offering their popular Orkney beef burger with fries and soft drink for £10.

East 59th serves New York-inspired cocktails and food, with US classics such as ribs, steak and lobster. Brunch with free-flowing prosecco is also available on Saturdays and Sundays from 11am to 4pm, with dishes including the Manhattan Breakfast and waffle stacks with crispy smoked bacon.
