Jake’s Bar was an instant hit when they arrived on Call Lane back in 2004, and fifteen years later they’re still serving up dynamic cocktails and an electric atmosphere. Originally named after renowned bartender Jake Burger, their dedication to hiring the best team members to complement their upfront party crowd has allowed them to stand the test of time.

Pisco Inferno

Jake’s decided it was time to pay homage to their team by asking six of them to concoct their very own cocktail menu. The results are now in, and if they taste as good as they look, then Leeds is in for a real treat.

Ad and Dec… Suitably boozy

First up we have General Manager Adam Smith’s menu starting with the suitably named “Ad’s and Dec”, a twist on a contemporary classic named ‘Trailer Trash’ which was invented by the bar manager of the American bar at the savoy Declan Mcgurk. Made up from overproof rum, pineapple, mango, guava, and passionfruit, it’s an exotic long drink with a kick, and perfect for the new season.

How You Dough’ing?

Next, Imogen gives us a throw-back to everyone’s favourite Friends character, Joey Tribbiani, with the suitably named ‘’How You Dough’ing’’.  Featuring Gentleman Jack, cookie dough-infused coffee, condensed milk, it’s finished with a Maryland biscuit garnish. When we asked her to describe her creation, she simply told us “Great name, better drink”. This adult milkshake is a must for anyone with a sweet tooth.

The Dirty Little Pornstar

Alex Morton’s official menu biography reads “More annoying than baby shark, and as adorable as a box of puppies – underneath those boyish good looks is a dad bod most middle-aged men would be proud of’’ (we’re not convinced he wrote that one himself!).

He presents a crowd-pleasing menu of fruity, floral and delicious cocktails including his very own twist on the classic Pornstar Martini. The ‘Dirty Little Pornstar” contains Absolut Vanilla vodka, Licor 43 liqueur, mango and an egg white foam with a shot of prosecco Granita on the side. Two delicious drinks are always better than one.

The new menu is out now, so make sure you drop in to Jake’s to check them out!
