Revolucion de Cuba Flamingo

It’s fiesta time down at Revolución de Cuba this week, as the UK’s premier rum and cocktail bar say hola to a brand-new partnership with the iconic Havana Club. The premium Cuban rum brand will be replacing Bacardi as the official Revs de Cuba house pour as of today.

This is the first time the popular Latin-themed bar brand has changed its signature rum brand since they opened back in 2011, and it’s shaping up to be a match made in heaven. Havana Club is a Cuban original and has been the country’s go-to rum of choice since they launched way back in 1934, which makes them an excellent choice for Revolución de Cuba.

Finely crafted

Beloved for its deep, rich and sophisticated flavours, the Havana Club collection is made up of finely crafted dark and white rums that taste great alone or with a hugely diverse spectrum of cocktails. To celebrate, Revolución de Cuba have been busy in their top-secret tropical drinks laboratory creating their most triumphant and exotic cocktail menu to date.

And, with 20 hot-of-the-press drinks to choose from, there’s a tipple to suit every occasion, mood and taste palate. Feeling a little loco? You might want to try the Wonder Cola, which blends Havana Club 7-Year-Old rum with Coca-Cola, Fernet Branca liqueur and Prosecco to create a simple yet sophisticated cocktail – trust us, you’ll never order a standard rum and coke again.

For something dark and delicious, the Espresso Rumtini delivers. Ingeniously switching vodka for Havana Club Anejo Especial rum, this Latin take on the classic cocktail also includes Kahlua, vanilla and freshly brewed coffee.

Fresh and fruity

If you’re looking for fresh and fruity, then look no further than the Flor De Flamingo with its irresistible combination of watermelon, honey water, lime and 7 Gran Reserva Rum. Served in an eye-catching pink flamingo tiki mug, one sip of this thirst-quenching tipple will take you straight to the Cuban coastline.

Other newcomers include the Cuban Iced Tea, the Coconut Bramble and an inspired selection of moreish Mojitos. The menu itself is a thing of sheer beauty and takes inspiration from Cuba’s vintage art-deco period, with its vibrant images of colourful characters.

Art-deco style

James Lavin Marketing Manager had this to say about their latest cocktail offering:

“This new menu brings our customers all the thrills and glamour of Havana in its heyday, with modern spirits and an incredible range of flavours. It’s inspired by Carteles, a Cuban pre-revolution lifestyle magazine iconic for its bold, art deco-style illustrated covers and rebellious attitude.

The pages reveal a love of Cuba, its people and defining moments in Cuban art history – and our new menu pays homage to the beautiful covers from nearly 100 years ago.”

Each Friday throughout the launch period, new Havana club cocktails will be available 2-4-1 all evening (see the Revolución de Cuba website for details) to celebrate the menu.

To introduce the Havana Club brands partnership, Revolución de Cuba will be hosting rum tasting events at their Harrogate (March 11th) and Leeds (March 12th) venues.

Sign up for the newsletter at your local Revolución de Cuba before March 5th and you can take advantage of a complimentary cocktail from their new menu.
