If missing out on Glastonbury tickets left you feeling a little washed out, then we might just have the perfect tonic to perk you back up. The Lamb & Flag are embracing the return of the UK’s most iconic music festival with a string of Glastonbury themed BBQ’s from Friday 28th through to Sunday the 30th of June.
The pub will also be screening full BBC coverage of all major headliners via its giant outdoor screen and PA system with the picturesque Leeds Minster as its backdrop. From The Killers to Kylie and Stormzy to Miley, the very best of this year’s indie, rock, and pop line-up will be live and direct at The Lamb.
Glasto survival kits
Visitors can expect the beer garden to be fully kitted out Glasto style, and festival survival packs complete with face paints and glow sticks will be on hand to get you in the mood. An outdoor bar will be serving up ice-cold beer and a limited edition festival cocktail, and you can expect the finest Yorkshire steak burgers as well as veggie and vegan treats on the barbie.
Tickets for this year’s Glastonbury sold out in lightning speed as per usual, with music-lovers keen to get a slice of the action after the festivals 2-year hiatus. And, while 2017 saw acts such as Noel Gallagher, Dua Lipa, Radiohead and Charlie XCX take to the stage, this year’s line-up is equally as diverse.
Roll with it
2019 sees the return Oasis legend Liam Gallagher who will be going solo on the Pyramid stage come Saturday evening. He will be preceded by none other than Janet Jackson, who makes her first Glasto appearance almost 40 years after her debut record dropped. Other highlights to look out for include The Cure, Bastille, Lauren Hill and The Chemical Brothers.
Post your best festival photo from the event on social media via #glastoatthelamb and you can be in with the chance of winning a delicious meal for two from the pubs highly-rated summer menu. Entry to the event is completely free on a first come, first served basis (so arrive early to secure a prime spot!).
The Glastonbury BBQ is part of an impressive calendar of summer events taking place at The Lamb & Flag, who recently unveiled a fresh country pub style revamp and brand new terrace. The pub is owned by Cameron’s Brewery, who have an impressive portfolio of gastropubs which includes The Midnight Bell, Crowd of Favours and The White Swan.
