Brewers Market Beer Festival 2018 lands in Canal Mills on 11-12 May for its fourth year, coinciding with the opening weekend of Leeds Indie Food Festival; the city’s now legendary month-long independent foodie extravaganza.
The beer festival will proudly showcase the very cream of the local craft beer crop over its two days, as well as shining a light on some of the best international ales. The brand-new May slot will hopefully afford Canal Mills some sunshine on its outdoor terrace, which will be jammed with some of the country’s best street food vendors, including Little Bao Boy, Mussel Pot and Little Red Food Truck.
The list of breweries is enough to have ale-swigging hipsters everywhere frothing at the chops and so far includes:
Black Lodge Brewery
Buxton Brewery Company
Five Points Brewing Company
Four Pure Brewing Co
Northern Monk Brew Co
North Brewing Co
Track Brewing Co
Verdant Brewing Co
There will also be a Brewers Market Bar (line up to be confirmed) and plenty of boozy treats for those not feeling the beer. This includes a pop-up gin bar hosted by Bathtub Gin and a selection of natural wines from Wayward Wines, plus DJs on rotation dropping some choice cuts.
Canal Mills Events Manager Matt Long spoke of the event:
“This year we’ve moved from our traditional November slot to the summer, which will give us the chance to use more of Canal Mills and therefore bring in more breweries than ever before! We’ll also have a wider selection of food and extras thrown in for 2018”.
“With more exciting breweries to be announced in the coming weeks, it’s going to be our biggest edition of Brewers Market yet”
Choose from three different sessions, across Friday night 5pm – midnight, Saturday 12-5pm and then 6pm – midnight. Tickets for each session are a snip at just £8 (plus £1.20 BF) and can be purchased from Ticket Arena here and Brewers Market here.
