Taking influence from a wide range from New Romantic to 90s Britpop, mixes with countless Motown albums and an extensive dig into the well-loved record collections of their family members.
Apollo Junction use their influences to write insanely memorable, hugely uplifting tunes. These fivel mates from Leeds have caught the attention of everyone from Radio DJs to the national press to film directors and TV producers. With their big hearted indie pop electronica they are poised to make a real impact in 2020. The band spent early 2018 writing and recording a now completed debut album alongside putting DIY demos and videos out into the webosphere, and in doing so gathered plaudits far and wide. Their songs ‘If I Fell’, This Could Be The Day’ and ‘Born For Now’ were described by Little Indie Blogs as “pop masterpieces” and “Delicious synth laden sounds complimented by catchy and anthemic song writing, I can just hear this being sung by thousands on a sunny day at Glastonbury”- Fresh On The Net BBC 6.
After signing a publishing deal with Wipe Out Music (Sleaford Mods) Apollo Junction’s songs have featured on MTV’s U.S. hit reality show ‘Are You The One’ and in the movie ‘The Big Promise’ directed by award winning Mexican director J R Suarez as well as being used for by Netflix show The Circle France). They’ve also had plays on Good Morning TV, MTV and BBC Look North. With a fistful of singles upfront to whet the appetite. Apollo Junction had their first single ‘In Your Arms’ used by BBC1 programme Football Focus Playing and then had the song ‘Born For Now’ used for the ending credits of Match of Day 2. When ‘live’ they perform electro, indie, guitar-inspired songs infused with tuneful melodies with a mission to get the party going. 2020 will see Apollo Junction deliver their debut album on vinyl with a fistful of singles to whet the appetite and also combine a string of UK festival dates, including the legendary The Big Top at Isle Of Wight Festival. Gigging has led to a large following of love and support from fans all over the world. A recent gig in London saw a ‘plane load’ of dedicated fans travel from all across Europe to watch the band perform on stage.
Consistent gigging has led to a strong ‘live’ following, and the band were described as ‘The best new band we have had in years!’ when they played the Dublin Castle recently. This fan-base, radio play and critical acclaim also helped them play a series of festivals including the Main Stage at Bingley Music Live, and the Hard Rock stage at the Isle of Wight Festival. They’ve supported Shed Seven, Cast, James andApollo Junction have been confirmed to share stages Kaiser Chiefs, Libertines and the legendary Madness at festivals through the summer, as well as selling out venues in their home of Leeds.A recent pre match show at Leeds United Elland Road ground led to them being invited to play at the Player of The Season Awards as guests of the team.

In July 2020, after turning down a number of record deals, the band signed with brand new label Shed Load Records. With a base in Leeds and ties with London, it was an obvious next step for the band on their journey.
